The Kiln Fire Point of Sale module allows you to take physical credit cards in the studio in addition to the digital-only payments that the Supply module allows for. The point of sale area is an extension of the Supplies module and requires it.
If you are planning on taking the POS out of the studio you should know that it does not have an offline mode and would require some kind of internet connection, like being tethered to a phone.
