There are two ways to set up a class in the Kiln Fire app.
- For a unique one time class that you probably won't offer again, click on Classes > Manage Classes > New button
- For kinds of classes you offer over and over, click on Classes > Templates > New Template button
Before you create classes and templates, you may want to input some related information into Kiln Fire.
Studio Location
Under Classes > Locations, you want to input your studio location with its address.
Instructors
Under Classes > Instructors, you want to input information about your class instructors and how to contact them. If your instructor is a Kiln Fire user, you can connect them in this way so they have the studio permissions you want them to have.
Class Registration Form
If you want, you can use Kiln Fire’s default class registration form. You can also customize the default class registration form. Click on Classes > Settings > Default. You can also start from scratch and create your own class registration form or multiple forms depending on your different kinds of classes and the information you need. Click on Classes > Settings > Create New Class Form.
Piece Pickup Type
If you are using Piece Pickups in the Kiln Fire app, you will want to create your piece pickup types. Click on Pickups > Pickup Types > New Pickup Types to customize different kinds of piece pickup types you will use for your different classes.
App Messages
To customize different messages you want to send as people are registering for classes, click on Studio > App Messages and scroll down to the messages related to classes:
- Class After Purchase Message
- Class Details Message (At least do this one!)
- Class Agreement Email Message
- Class Policies Message
- Class Waitlist Invite Message (Single)
- Class Waitlist Invite Message (Multiple)
- Class Piece(s) Ready Message
Class Agreement/Waiver
You can have people agree to your registration requirements, click on Studio > Agreements and you can add the text of your agreement there in the field.
Class Add-ons
If you want people to be able to purchase anything for the class (extra clay, etc), you can set this up in Classes > Settings > Class Addons > Create New Class Add-on.
