For an Event/Party
Pickup Groups allow the studio to put all the pieces from an event or class together. To create a Pickup Group, click on the Pickups > Pickup Groups. When you click on New Group, you decide what Pickup Type you want to use for that group. You can then give the group a name and click Generate Pickup Group. You then have a QR code and link to give to each person in that group. They use a device to scan the QR code or visit the link to submit the piece or pieces they have created.
For a Class
If you are using the Classes feature in Kiln Fire, you do not need to create a Pickup Group for each of them. Instead, you would set up a Pickup Type within a class or class template. Go to the Classes > Templates. Edit a template or create a new one. As you are editing the details for your class template, you will see a Piece Pickup Type setting. Here you can choose a Piece Pickup Type that you have created.
